Waste         Management

Steps to effective waste management are as follows:

Advocacy for effective waste management methods urges individuals to reduce, reuse, and recycle garbage in order to lessen the negative effects on the environment and public health.  It is essential to promote waste management in order to lessen the harmful effects of garbage on the environment and build a more sustainable future for all.

  1. REDUCE: This can be accomplished by using less throwaway items like straws, cups, and plastic bags. When possible, use reusable items over durable ones.

  2. REUSE For instance, worn clothing can be transformed into rags and glass containers can be utilized to store food.

  3. Recycle: Separate recyclables from other trash and dispose of them in the appropriate manner.

  4. COMPOSTING:  Allowing organic waste such as food scraps and yard waste to decay and transform into nutrient-rich soil. This can then be used in agriculture and gardening.

  5. DISPOSE:  To appropriately dispose of non-recyclable and non-compostable materials. This entails putting them in a garbage container and dumping them in a landfill or incinerator.
